Biography :
K.Sivaprasad completed his AMIIM from the Indian Institution of Metals, Calcutta in the year 1999. He holds Master in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai. He did his doctorate on ‘ Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Gas Tungsten Arc and Electron Beam Welded Alloy 718’ from IIT, Madras. He holds a wide academic experience of 17 years in NIT, Trichy. He has experience as visiting scientist at the University of North Texas, Denton, USA, and as visiting fellow at IIT, Madras, and the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan. He has guided 13 Ph.D. scholars and 2 MS (By Research) scholar so far and presently guiding 5 more Ph.D. scholars. He has 100+ International research publications, 50+ conference publications and has contributed to a book chapter. He has headed several academic and administrative positions and has organized national and international level seminars, workshops, and conferences. He is the reviewer of numerous internationally acclaimed journals in the field of Metallurgy and Material science.
